Anyone ever had the LC just shut off?

I had been idling about an hour outside my kids school waiting for him to emerge and suddenly the truck shut off and steering wheel retracted etc. no CEL or anything and started right back up.

Do you have a 2020? After a quick google search, it looks like auto shut off after idling for a period of time is a new “feature” for that model year.

Yeah auto shutoff. I could never bring myself to idle that long.

I do not idle more than 10 minutes. I’ve heard of real tales of woe - my model Cayman S had proven instances of cylinder scoring from extended idle, catalytic converter damage can occur in some vehicles... Generally not advisable to let a vehicle sit and idle.
