I noticed the 200 section does not have a sticky thread on 200s for sale and how much.

I am looking at an 08 silver with 56k for 45800. Is that a good deal?

Based on a quick search on Autotrader it looks like that's a decent price for an LC without the Upgrade Package. Tough to gauge the value of these things because of the scarcity of them.

I assume this is the silver one at the Kia dealer. It doesn't have the UP package so if you want that, you'll have to keep looking. If you don't need or want the UP, run the book values and start with a low offer - these things aren't exactly flying off the lots these days.

From a previous thread: ('08 UP is similar to the '09 package).
2009 Upgrade Package:
- DVD-based GPS navigation with Bluetooth® capability and back up camera,
- rear seat entertainment,
- simulated wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob,
- pre-collision system,
- cool box,
- second-row seat heaters,
- rear spoiler,
- and headlamp cleaners

2010 Upgrade Package:
- DVD navigation system with backup camera and JBL Synthesis AM/FM/MP3/6- disc CD changer audio system with 90-day free subscription to XM Satellite Radio and NavTraffic,
- rain-sensing windshield wipers,
- rear seat entertainment,
- simulated wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob,
- pre-collision system,
- cool box,
- second-row seat heaters,
- rear spoiler,
- and headlamp cleaners

Note the few differences between the '10 and '09 are an upgraded navigation system (I don't know what the differences are but as an '09 owner I can tell you, any change would be an improvement), XM satellite radio (although you can easily add this to the '09), and rain-sensing wipers. I believe those are the only differences between the model years.

Keep in mind that because an LC may have navigation, it doesn't mean it has the UP; nav was a (rare) stand-alone option. The easiest way of telling if the vehicle has UP is to look at the steering wheel - if it's "wood" on the upper and lower portions, it has the UP, if it's all leather, no UP. Obviously someone could change the steering wheel out but it's the fastest way check when looking at pictures online.

Let us know which one you end up with!

edit: I just re-read your post - the 2009's do not have the Safety Connect (SOS button). I believe this is Toyota's OnStar equivalent.

Wow, that's some retention rate for a 4 year old car! I believe the original price of an LC without the upgrade package was int he low 60s!

Keep in mind that prices went up after the tsunami. New sticker (if you can find one) is just shy of $75k.

I'm seeing low mileage (15k ish) 2011s around $63,000 for dealer to dealer!?!? This pricing thing is killing me. I was hoping to get into a 30k ish for around $50,000...but can't find it?

I would go for the deal you found if you like it.

I looked for a good price on an 08 with zero luck. Looks like I'll wait another 5 years or so. I'll bet if gas shoots up to 7 or 8 bucks a gallon you can find some deals.
