'Bought to do my first oil change with my bjowett oil filter. Need to order supplies.
my father brought me his Tacoma, I looked at the oil and it was dark but OK, so I asked him when was the last oil change? he looked at some records and told me about 16K millies ago 3 years ago so that talking about 5-30 conventional oil, this synthetic Mobile1, so for sure it will get you 20K with better filter in case you need to get extreme, I change every 10K in my LC200 and LX570

Please no one conclude you can tell anything useful by looking at the oil.

I agree with @linuxgod advice.. if you must run this stuff grab a sample for UOA at 10 and even 15k to confirm it is working well. If it’s healthy out to 20k keep using it for subsequent changes.

Yes it says 20k but that is double the factory interval, and the factory already specifies synthetic. Mobil can only put so much magic sauce in a motor oil and twice the factory drain is some serious magic sauce.

Personally I’ll keep changing mine at 5 along with tire rotations and driveline lubes. It doesn’t cost all that much, or take that long, contrary to the hand wringing going on elsewhere in this section lately.
