So I got my new tires. They fit nice and look good. I am stoked.

1) leaf removal
Sig line says what I've done. Lowest part of the frame with worn out 35 BFG was at 23". I thought that was a pretty good number. With the 37's I am at 24.5" empty. That is plenty tall so I thought I might pull a couple leafs from the front and rear. Any advise as to how many and which ones? If I can get it below 23.5" or back to 23" I'd be much happier. The 40 springs in the front have a little arch to them and the rear 55 springs have a lot. I image that they'll settle just a touch when I finish my front bumper with the 8275 and a rear tire carrier. So I am looking for about an 1". Anyone pulled enough leafs to know if that is possible or reasonable?

2) Since it is pretty tall I like the idea of being able to suck the front end down with the winch. Would this replace a limit strap all together? Or should I still run a limit strap AND the winch line. Anyone have examples of how they pulleyed and routed the line to get back to the front housing. I'd imagine I would want a fairly vertical pull on that. Also, was just a d-shackle on a loop acceptable or how much of a PITA was it to switch and stitch the line back through the pulleys. Hopefully pics will answer all...

Thanks!

I pulled the bottom-most leaves from mine to get it down to 23" with 38.5's.

On leafs, I think it would be 10 times easier to just use a center limit strap. You would need a very vertical pull from a cable, unlike the linked guys who can get away with some angle...

Thanks for your response Eskimo.

I'll pull a leaf and see what that does.

The center strap will be much easier. I'll probably have to start there and tinker a bit with the winch.

I like the adjustable idea. ;)

1/4" cable held huh? Less load on it than I was thinking.
