Are there really any down sides to getting a winch bumper? The springs on my truck have little curve left, will the added weight of the ARB cause problems? I don't plan on getting a winch for it just yet....unless someone has can hook me up if I get the bumper.

I've been watching the Parts For Sale, craigslist, ebay, etc. for a year and haven't been finding that screamin' deal (or have been a day late on it), so the ones on Ebay right now look pretty good. Anyone ever dealt with these guys?

I use the truck for camping, outback desert trips, etc. No rock crawling or heavy wheeling.

I've pretty much decided I'll get it, but am waffling cuz of the price.

If you've got the money, why not get it? It is, however, an unfortunate fact that the springs on FJ 60's are all pretty much shot from age at this point in time. I elected to get new springs first, and wait on the bullbar, but those bumpers sure are nice. I always enjoy those stories of the little car that gets crushed by a L/C w/ a bullbar and the L/C drives home with a few scratches.

I agree, for a comparable price i would support one of the vendors on here, and Kurt is great to deal with on the phone.

I could not agree more! Kurt is great to work with! Support the family!
Good luck!:bounce2:

On the price issue just think of the cost after just one deer hit or minor accident. The cost of the ARB pales in comparison to the cost of bodywork or truck replacement. At least that was the justification when I bought mine. :D
