Why don't more people offer rear bumpers for the early minis? Marlins website lumps the 79-85 together, but no one else does. From my searches the frame are the same width @ 41 & 1/8. I don't see why a trail gear bumper for a 84-85 wouldn't fit on a 80-83. i actually like the TG bumper more than Marlins or Daves and its cheaper. Someone has to have tried this, and yes i did search, here, pirate, yotatech and google.

i have the same issue but with the front bumper, i think its because of the shape of the bed. i ended up custom making mine. i believe if u use a TG bumper i will not be a tight fit at the sides of the bed and sit a bit lower. if your willing to custom fit it i will go for the TG one looks more professional to me.
here is how mine turned out ;p

Yours turned out nice and tight. Veerry niiice. Seriously after welding up my sliders, and being less than happy with the results I think my time is better spent @ work and buying some bumpers than hacking out something than I won't like. Daves' off road sells a x-member to weld in and use aftermarket front bumpers.
