Hello everyone. I am trying to start this motor to test before I commit. I know there is a very similar thread but my 1HZ has three wires coming from the cutoff solenoid. Does anyone have knowledge of this 3 wire system to get her going? Thank you.

Try the green wire!

Take the black box off and look around.

I looked at this option. In the schematics it does show that the unit I referenced is connected by a single wire. Now my next questions is, do I have to supply power to the fuel pump/solenoid?

Can you remove the other plastic shell?
Once in you should see the solenoid, remove it, test it and then decide on a plan.
If this unit is causing you grief then find a regular plain Jane solenoid and switch to the simple one wire.

Re read.
Looking for fuel?
1. Disconnect fuel line from your primer on the intake side. Blow, suck, syphon to ensure fuel is coming from tank. If no fuel you are sucking air.
2. Disconnect fuel line from primer/filter to IP and push primer till you see steady fuel. If no fuel you are sucking air.
3. If you see fuel reconnect and try to start. If dodgy then swap out fuel line from filter to IP with clear hose, this tells you wether you have air or fuel. You may require someone to constantly prime till this is fixed.
4. If fuel is steady then the most likely issue is the immobilizer! Take it out, swap!

Thank you all for your responses! After googling, with various word inputs, I finally came across an IH8Mud forum from 2006. All I had to do was remove the black portion of the box and the solenoid was underneath. A quick connect to 12V and she fired right up. It was not a clean job to get the immobilizer solenoid off but with a dremel and a large screwdriver I did it. Pics to follow.

Hi, I have being spending weeks to try and work out why my 105 series is not starting every time, and randomly will not start at all.
I am leaning towards the immobiliser solenoid.
Does anybody have a picture of what is behind the black box to assist of how to get this removed as there is no screw to get off.
Any pics or help would be appreciated
