Hi all,
I have a delema in that the powersteering pump on my 1991 HDJ81 landcruiser has packed a sad. I have striped it down and there is definate wear on the vane pump Cam Ring, the inner surface has waves.
I haven't been able to locate a replacement pump at this stage and Mr Toyota whats a not so small furtune just for the cam ring, let alone a complete pump.
My question to the collective knowledge is - are the pump internals interchangable with other Toyota powersteering vane pumps?
I am aware that the vanes and cams on specific models are numbered 0-5 and are matched according to the number, but will the guts from one model fit another?
