Ok so basiCally wondering if anyone knows what gets done internally to say a 1hdt fuel pump when you need your pump upgraded for higher horse power and what gets done to the injectors.

And does anyone know if when running out of fuel is it the fuel pump or the injectors that are holding it back.

I believe when I get this bad boy 2, Intercooler, modified plenum and new air box fitted that the fuel pump or injectors or both will be holding me back.

What is everyone's thoughts?
 
I will link this thread in the other one once I find out more info. But it basically looking that the limit of the standard pump and or injectors has been found and I will need some internal mods.

So just seeing what others have done or found out.
 
The distributive head and plungers are replaced with larger components.
Dzltec (on outerlimits) used 13mm Isuzu components to upgrade a 1HD-T pump.

I'm pretty sure Graham has had a lot of contact with Andy (Dzltec) and probably knows what has been done.

Well a little more info. I believe the patrol boys that get a modified diesel central pump get a 14mm rotor and plungers.

Next question is what would be better between

1. Upgraded pump with standard injectors
2. Standard pump tuned as much as you can with upgraded injectors.

Now I know both together will give the best results but what would give the better results option 1 or 2.

Has anyone ever had upgraded injectors for a 1hdt and if so what was done to them. And it has to be more than just cracking pressure.
