Howdy yall.
My 1HD-T injector pump has a good drip at times. Seems cold induced. Comes and goes. 270km on it. I deleted ACSD myself, but IP work frightens me.

Can't source a rebuilt one out there... Edwin Kincaid around and available for a replacement? Or any other suggestions in Austin? I am NE of town about half an hour. Truck is driveable.

If it’s like the Bosch pump on old TDI engines dieselgeek used to sell an oring kit and special bolt to change the pump body oring while still installed. Pretty impressive. Might be worth looking into that for ideas.

@bottombracket what was the shop you were using to rebuild these?

Grab a flashlight and look around for the source of the leak. Some of the seals are easy to do with the exception of the pump body one referenced above.

I had the #1 injector nozzle leakage pipe … drip at the little hose joint in Amarillo on my 1hd-fte converted lx450.

Looked for all the world like it would’ve been the IP, (and it’s a new pump out of Saudi) … but nope.

Yes that hose clamp is way too big. I didn’t put it there but I will be replacing it (and its brethren) as soon as I figure out and obtain the correct sized hose.

Any particular local toyota diesel talent that comes recommended? I am rennovating a house and also afraid of the delicate inticasies of the IP and the tuning after. Would like to find an Austin area shop that can remove IP and injectors for rebuild and tune.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! Also any leads on a rebuilt 1hd-t IP on the market? Will otherwise ship off for rebuild and be without for a long while :/
