Vehicle had 189,000 on the clock when we bought it. Was on internet for around 10K, we got it for $8,900 in summer 2011. Paint was beautiful as it had been fully repainted apparently due to a non-total collision (X2) in its earlier life. Interior was fair, not good and that knocked the price down.
First project after purchase was to repair the frozen sunroof. I had to order one new cable for the motor/glass, and spent alot of time cleaning trash out of the tracks. The other cable was in marginal condition but they are expensive so I only bought one. I had some pics but they are AWOL right now. After rebuilding the sunroof I got some hand-me-down tires from my other vehicle about half life 285/75/16 BFG AT/KO. Posting pics of the before and after on the tires. I lifted it shortly thereafter with the OME 2.5 medium, and the Slee Diff drop. Installation was very easy. Had a little trouble getting the torsion bars out but some lube and effort got it under control. It was also a challenge to lift the rear of the vehicle high enough to put the rear springs in. The results were nothing short of amazing to me, and I am hard to impress. The spring rates were fantastic, the vehicle movement was so liquid and it handled terrain and even jumps with an ease I have never seen. The only negative is that sway increased alot especially when towing and I recommend bumping up your tire pressure if towing as a result.
