Hey guys,

I just had a rough country 4" lift installed in my 1999 jeep tj wrangler. Everything on the lift i think was done properly...but i noticed rite away that when i put my foot on the accelerator and put it down i get a vibration coming from the drivline i think??? Does anyone know what this could be? It docent do it driving at idle...it only does it when i accelerate

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Could be angles of drive shaft are too sharp and you need a transfer case lower bracket to get your geometry closer to stock.

Is your driveline still the stock transfer case output yoke and drive shaft? Anything over 2 1/2" on a TJ, a transfer case drop or a Short Yoke Eliminator kit is recommended. If you decide to go with a SYE, then you will need to buy a new drive shaft with a CV joint on the transfer case end. Advance Adapters sells a complete kit for this mod.

Another thing to look at is the angle of your rear pinion and drive shaft u joint. If your rear pinion is not following the angle of the drive shaft/in a straight line that will lead to the transfer case u joint and the pinion u joint being out of phase (I think that is the term) which means your u joints are not off setting each other equally in the angle.

If your control arms are adjustable, you can minimize the pinion angle by adjusting the control arms so your pinion will line up with the drive shaft. Not the best fix, but can help.

Your vibration problem is easily fixed with the cheapest being a transfer case drop and the most expensive being a SYE kit and new drive shaft.

Were your new control arms adjustable? if so, adjust them so that your front or rear diffs are at better angles to the drive shafts with not sharp or mildly sharp angles at the universals. If they are not adjustable, then you will most likely need to install atransfer case lowering kit.
