SOLD. 1999 Cruiser with 220,273 miles.--$7000
New--
-Timing Belt-Water Pump-Tensioner.
-4-285/75/16 BFK KO2's. Mounted 200 miles ago. Spare is non matching and used, but is the same size.
-Dorkel. This is clearly a Safari knock-off.
-Battery.
-Hood Struts.
-Steering rack grommet.
-The previous owner had new shocks and CV boots installed at 182K. I do have the receipt.
Know issues--
-Cracked leather, stitching is coming apart on the drivers seat.
-Plenty of stains on the carpets from spilled sodas and dirty feet.
-Cracked windshield. The crack is about 5 inches from the bottom and runs the length of the windshield.
-This Cruiser suffers from the "second pump" issue with the brakes. It brakes fine. The previous owner stated that she drove it like that for the last 2 years. I do have the MC rebuild kit and will include it.
-The center diff light will not turn on. It does work. However, I cannot get the rear diff to engage. I've been told that these two things may be related, but I am not sure.
This Cruiser looks good. The previous owner had it for a claimed 9 years and used it as the main mode of family transportation. The body is in very good condition, with one large ding on the front passenger door and a few other minor ones. There is no body rust and the undercarriage looks very good. I turned the torsion bars 3.5 turns each in an attempt to level the car, but the tire shop turned them a little when performing an alignment, so there is that. This Cruiser runs very well. There are no funny smells, and the previous owner did not smoke in it.
I have only had this for 6 months. The plan was to build this up a little bit at a time as finances allowed. This is as far as I've made it. We truly have rarely driven this. But alas comes this painful reality--income has fallen the last two years and the industry I work in is facing significant cutbacks in personnel and spending. The ONLY reason I am entertaining selling this is to use the money to pay down debt and prepare for the worst. I figure I will sit on it for about three months before I take the "way low ball" offer.
I am asking $7000. Give me your feedback--I'm a big boy, I can take it. The car is in Idaho Falls, ID.
