1998 4runner with a newer cup holder

I got a 1998 4 runner and I am trying to put in a newer center counsel so it has the newer style cup holders.. think the one I got is for like a 2001 or somthing... only problem is that it does not have a place for the power ecu button or the power rear window..... does the newer 4runners have these in another place???? anyone have ideas?

I tried without success to find a retrofit thread that I remember from a quite a while back on this very subject.
I think the newer ones ended up with those 2 buttons on the dash I believe.
The cup holder in my 96 is a challenge but the retrofit, mainly due to those 2 buttons looked like more work than I wanted to do so I never pursued it.
There was a thread though in here somewhere!

I have a 2002 and both of those switches are on the dash above my climate controls.

Yes the 99 model has the ECT and rear window button on the dash rather than in the console.
