Last of the solid axle toys.

This was suppposed to be my next project, but realistically i have too much going on.

Factory lockers that work quickly and without issue.

7 passenger

has 200k miles. the last 100k put on in 3 years by a salesman where my wife used to work. Salesman retired, so the truck was parked in the line of retired work van's that the company can't seem to bare to part with. so... the brakes are rusty, but work. may need rotors skimmed.

Runs very nice.

click on the drivers side CV when the front axle is locked and turned.

cracked windshield... would need to be replaced to get inspected. was quoted about $200 from safelite.

Crazy rust free... must be seen to believed. really. this was the main reason i bought it... it needs no body work. and the bottom is clean. still has shiney black paint on the frame.

$4500, not really any room to dicker at this price. should sell pretty quick i would think. i can deliver in the NE for fuel money.

I say keep the LX450 and sell that Discovery in the background. I believe you will save more than $4500.00 alone in future Rover parts and repairs.

That disco is just about done.. frame is getting pretty thin from the NY winters but i've had it so long it doesn't hand out any surprises anymore. The rover and i have come to an understanding, i'll hate to see it go.

I'm kind of partial to rover's, my wife was owed money from a previous employer so with a little cash on my end the LX became mine... as you can see from my driveway.. i don't need another project.

I know this thing is worth more than i'm asking, but i just want to pass it along.

BFG gives me a break on race tires, the sticker is technically part of the deal. I actually put them on for a road trip to Silverton and

Moab i did in June.

I sold my unlimited buggy and brought the Defender out of retirement for some UK hill rally style comps we're trying to get going. This was kind of my "get back to basics" plan to offroad for the just fun of it again.

It;s three linked in the front, Longfields, ARB's, underfrive to get 116:1 crawl ratio, galvanized frame, Tdi... etc etc. I plan to be burried in it.

If you were about 2,000 miles closer to AZ Id be jumping for joy right about now.
I keep looking.
You'll sell this quick.
Have fun in your LR.

lots of tire kickers... still available.

i installed a good yellow top optima i had today. i'll include this with the sale.

somebady needs to buy this thing before i change my mind and order springs. it's hard not to start liking this rig...

i'm tempted, but Allstate won't let me insure any more vehicles without another policy.

i steam cleaned the interior and the floor mats today... carpet was in real nice condition under the dirt.

muddyrover? Did you used to live in Auburn?

i started buffing out the paint, it doesn't look like this thing ever had wax. i touched up the stone chips on the hood, then went back over those spots with 2000 grit before buffing... came out real nice. got the front clip done.

pretty soon the above piics will be the "before" pics...
