This could be an awesome start to a fun project.
Up for sale is my wife’s 97 LX-450. (Landcruiser)
The last year of the solid front axle.
Almost completely stock, never been offroad, wife grocery getter for 15 years. We are the 2nd owner. We purchased it in 2001 (or 2002) from a family friend who had leased it new.
Specs:
232k miles (blown head gasket)
Stock axles (no lockers, 4:10s I believe).
Leather Seats
Third Row/fold down
Sun/Moon roof
After market stereo
Tires have 10-20k left on them.
Registered until December 2016 (was last smogged December 2014)
The Good:
Things that have been replaced in the last 2-3 years:
Brakes & Rotors (x4)
PS Pump & Hoses
Radiator & Hoses
DS F&R window regulators & motors replaced
Body is clean (no major dents, just some scratches, dings, & some paint fading)
The Bad:
Blown Headgasket/Rod Knock (Perfect for an LS Swap!)
Front PS & rear seats have tears/worn (15 years with kids)
Antenna is stuck down
Sun visors are weak
Front Bumper is scraped/dinged (parking garages)
Hood paint starting to oxidize
I’m sure there are other things I’m forgetting….

Since the motor is blown, I’d like the new owner to sign a release/waiver with the sale relating to Smog testing (if required) with the new registration.
I can tow it up to 100 miles from Concord if you make it worth my while.
