***SOLD*** 7/17/17. This is in Boise. I'm thinking about $9k. See the thread for details.FS: 1997 Lexus LX450

I am selling this vehicle due to going to grad school across the country and this is an extra vehicle for me. I purchased it from my best friend when he upgraded to another LC. I have owned this since 2014 and put about 19k miles on it. I still have the original upgrade list from my buddy. Stuff done during my ownership:

All fluids done last month.
5- Cooper disc. STT Pro’s 315 siped 2017 (have had one 5-tire rotation)
Replaced/repaired exhaust system hangers and cracks 2017
New radiator and cap 6/2017
Tie-rod ends and alignment 2017
New brakes 2017
Replace distributor o-ring 2016
New -Optima yellow top battery 2016
Complete front end rebuild summer 2015
Cleaned all sunroof drain lines 2016

Here are the details from what the build was. I've (Nate) done the work on some things and other have had the best Toyota certified mechanics in town do the rest and maintain it. In the last 2.5 years, I’ve:

-Added an OME 850/863 lift with OME shocks
-Put an ARB bumper with Superwinch 9000# winch with synthetic line (there is hawse lead on it and I will include the synthetic rubber roller lead as well)
-Safari snorkel
-Extended diff breather lines
-New antennae motor and mast
-New headlight lenses
-Slee adjustable front panhard rod
-New Slee tie rod and tie rod ends
-New brake pads and had rotors turned
-Installed new Rocky Mountain sliders
-Installed home made rear bumper wings with swing out (I didn't make this and it's a little rough but certainly better than stock), it has a backup light I've never hooked up
-Optima yellow top battery
-Replaced all hoses and belts with OEM Toyota parts
-New OEM plugs and wires, I put a new distributor in as well but I believe that is the one thing I've used that might have been from NAPA
-Bypassed EGR after replacing many of the parts on it (following multiple threads on ih8mud). It passed emission here in Ada county but I'm not going to guarantee it will anywhere else. I have a spare manifold that will go with the truck that I planned to clean up and install.
-PHH and other heater hoses with silicone hoses and constant tension clamps
-New OEM thermostat and flushed cooling system. It has always had red Toy antifreeze
-New MAF and the big hose that goes from the air filter to the intake because the old one was cracked and taped
-Baselined gear boxes and transmission about a year ago
-Installed trailer brake controller and it's wired for 7 pin for electric brakes. The trailer in the picture is not for sale (Okay-I'll sell it for $5,000 with the tent. I know that is completely unreasonable and I don't want to sell the trailer but heh...)
-Cut old resonator off and put a smaller aftermarket on the fits under the skid plate on the rear bumper
-Pulled the factory rack off and plugged the holes with silicon and rubber washer screws
-All electronics work
-7 pin mod with CDL
-Fire extinguisher hidden in front of drivers front door
-Rebuilt starter
-AC blows cold
-Blue clutch fan upgrade
-Sun roof works and doesn't leak
-Transmission and transfer case are strong.
-Have always had oil changed on schedule.
-This was a Wyoming and then Idaho truck. No body rust and very little surface rust on the unders. Less than you would expect for a 20 yo car.
-Comes with third row seats.
-Interior is clean.
-Rearview mirrors don't shake yet.
-I have never been stranded, broken down, or stuck somewhere in this vehicle. It is a very capable overlander and can do some off-roading even without the fr and rr lockers.

-I've had extra exhaust supports welded on along the line to keep vibration noises at bay, no issues now, this was redone 2017
-the factory jack and tool pouch are there
-there is a set of weather mats that cover the factory mats but they aftermarkets might be worth tossing
-the clear coat on the snorkel side is pealing a little
-the driver's seat belt sags when not in use. Fairly common with these. It still tightens up when in use.
-the "D" light does not work in the dash
-the forward/rear lean knob on the passenger seat is missing the knob, still works
-there is some wear on the steering wheel leather
-the winch controller is in with the stock jack
-the third row are included and in better shape than the second row
-I took the light bulbs out of the interior marker lights in the back doors because I couldn't figure out how to keep them off when the back hatch is open
-replaced both O2 sensors in the last two years with OEM
-the little vent directional thing in the dash vent to the right of the steering wheel has cracks
-rear heater works great
-it suffers from the old guy droopy rear wiper syndrome so I took the rear wiper off. I've never missed it. It is included if you want to try to fix it and use the wiper. The control and motor work.
-the windows go up slowly when it's cold (sub 20), I think this is common
-the some of heater and radio control lights are out.

The bad:
-The windshield is original and has rock chips. There are no cracks though. It's never bothered me. Idaho doesn't have windshield inspection.
-The EGR bypass might be a turn off for some. It's a stupid system and many believe it's the reason head gaskets blow on the 6th cylinder on these. Like I said, it passed here and with cleaning the extra intake manifold, you should be good to go if that's an issue for you.
-The distributor 0-ring is due to be changed. There is a little oil seep there but a drop has never hit the ground.
-Stock 4.10 gears. See next bullet.
-I've always ran 315s with out much issue. The tires on there now are 315s but don't have much life left. The LC I'm getting has pretty new 285 BFG ATs. I'm going to switch out so you can have the newer, better shape tires but they are 285s. This is good for some, a detractor for others.
-It is all waxed up in those pics. It shines up really well. There is some pin striping that the waxing takes out but it does show up over time. Also, there is a small fade spot on the hood about the size of a beer.
-The rear bumper wings have a little rust.
-Driver's seat has leather cracking but nothing like you see in a lot of these. I've dripped gorilla glue in the cracks as they have appeared and the has kept them manageable. All other seat leather is good and the seat controls work.
-Doesn't come with roof rack and rocket box seen in pics.
-Sliders are worn through the powder coat where I get in and out and drag my foot over it on the drivers side.
-The passenger sun visor sags. Lexus wanted $300 for a new one
-It will have +222,000 miles by the time I sell it. I'm still driving it on occasion.
-It has vintage Idaho mudflaps that are staying with me but it will come with some mudflaps.
-I don't have the keyless entry fobs. There are two keys and the drivers manual though.
-Some of the radio and heater control lights are out.
-Only has center diff locker.

Yes I'm the owner and I 'm thinking of selling for 9k. I'm just a bit lazy and since Conundrum had all the parts and stuff listed I just bumped his old thread.

I bought it from Conundrum early 2014. The front axle has been gone through, just had the exhaust system shored up, new rubber (cooper STT Pro's), tie rod ends and alignment three months ago. New battery last spring (same yellow top), Brake pads last month. Pretty much everything else is the same as above thread link, just a little older. 221k now. I am only selling because I'm headed to grad school and this is an extra vehicle for us. Gauging interest and price point.

Don't we all. Actually, there have been very few situations that the lockers would have been useful to me.

Factory lockers are hard to resist, for sure. I'm not familiar with Idaho, is there any good wheeling out there?
YES. For sure.

Could you please post some underside pics?. also, i read you plugged up the roof rack holes, but the pics show a nice rack...

Is it still there, or is it gone?

Factory roof rack holes were filled. Currently it has a Thule aftermarket rack. More pics coming tomorrow.
