1997 Land Cruiser, 122k, stock, diff locks

Saw this listed in the paper on Saturday and checked it out this morning. Probably the nicest 80 I have seen in Omaha for 10 years. Its not on CraigsList or the dealers web site, ONLY in the local paper. It is located at Superior Honda in Omaha, Nebraska. Superior Honda of Omaha 402-408-1000 Honda Dealer Omaha Bellevue Lincoln Nebraska NE Contact them for more info. If anyone needs to have it checked out I recommend Two men and a Shop in Bennington, Nebraska. Highly experienced Toyota/Lexus mechanics. $10,775

PICTURES

This is in a location on their back lot where they sometimes wholesale to other small used car lots. Might want to act quickly if you are interested.

Thanks for taking the time to upload pics. Exactly what I'm looking for. Just wish it was closer to California.

The guy that bought my 93 flew out here from Sacramento and drove it back straight thru. Its a risk buying long distance. I have done it three times with good luck.

Did you see any issues with the car? Rust, leaks? Thanks

The only spot of rust I saw was a dime sized piece of rust on the front bumper, center section next to one of the small plastic inserts. Its surprisingly clean for any 80 in this area. There is some minor surface rust underneath on the bare metal pieces. Nothing out of the ordinary. I was not able to open the doors and tailgate and look at seams. The rear upper tailgate did not seem to have the usual rust around the window. The paint is shiny and without any clearcoat peel that I saw.
The front knuckles had the normal grease buildup from swiping but no axle oil washout that I could see. Looks like it was well cared for. The wheels don't look too great. I didn't have a ton of time to check it over.

Roof rack

Not sure if there is a previous thread about this, but how bad is the roof rack issue? Im in the market for an 80, and it would be nice to know.

Many, many threads on this. Here is one from last year.

Corrosion issues, making room for gutter mounted, usable roof racks.

I never had any issues with my stock roof rack in 9.5 years but it wasn't an expedition vehicle. Just the occasional weekend off-roader. Never needed rooftop storage.

They were port installed not factory installed which means they were basically an after thought. Just drilled in to the roof to install them. Probably less than 10% of them had the roof rack subtracted. It would have been ordered by the buyer that way not by a dealer.

not a 40th anniv.

looks clean... but not an anniversary model.

Yeah. You're right. Collectors Edition maybe, whatever that means. My mistake.

Yeah. Color is Moonglow. Looks to have CE badges and CE/40th wheels. No 2-Tone leather...def not a 40th, very likely a CE
