iirc any of us could drop our trucks off there and get the same treatment. am I correct

yeah, i saw that. for the folks who've seen my name here ... been looking for a low miles, decent, lightly built / stock 1997 -80 or lx450 to start as the fam car for road trips and get built slowly over the next few years ... and i'm picky. willing to pay, not overpay, and want to get into the class before prices start to creep up.

The way I see it, you're going to pay a premium for them sourcing what is very likely a totally rust free, very low miles rig. I would also expect that your newly-acquired rig would get pushed right to the front of any lines which may or may not exist in the TLC shop.

"Turn key" has its costs and benefits.
