Just putting this out there for feedback and information on the market. I am waiting to hear on a grad program in Australia. Should know in a couple of weeks. If I get in, then I will sell it.

I have a 1997 Moon Pearl that is well built. It has been well maintained by me and the previous owner (he was the first). It was purchased from a dealer in Fort Collins, CO and I purchased it to build a great expedition vehicle. It has 207k, the body and interior are in great shape, the compression is in the low 160's on 2-6 cylinders and in the mid 150's on 1, so the motor is in good shape. I have never had a problem with the vehicle and the previous owner had good records. Here is most of the info on the vehicle:

I can never remember all of this stuff, but it was either performed/purchased, or a combination of, by Slee, MAF, Addicted Offroad, me or some other CO outfitter. Here is a list of my rigs add-ons or options - I always forget half of them: 4.5" lift with heavy springs, OME shocks, MAF articulated/adjustable links rods, MAF stainless extended lines, relocated diff breather, Slee relocated wiper bottle, dual batteries/optima, Seagate power block running accessories, drilled and slotted rotors with Hawk pads, 18" XD monster wheels, 35x12.5x18 Toyo muds (5), extreme hi-lift jack mounted on rear bumper ladder, 4x4 labs dual swing bumper with tire carrier, ladder and gas/water carrier add-on on ladder, all fluids Amsoil, Yakima mega warrior rack with shovel and axe holders, advanced timing and tuning, custom welded sliders, Slee center diff hi switch, ARB high output compressor, compressor quick connect, ARB rear air locker, Yukon 4.88 gears, ARB front bumper with 8K winch, front and rear hitch shackles, Light force lights (front), ARB lights rear rack, Eclipse DVD/NAV with ripping HD, Infinity amp and all speakers, small subwoofer, lots of recovery gear and all metal Koyo three row brass radiator, with blue fan clutch and 10k oil, Slee upgrade headlight harness. I'm sure there is more.

More: All the windows are professionally tinted, the DVD/NAV has remote control and a plug for ipod/iphone, it has one hi-flow low profile cat (passes inspection every time and no O2 lites ever come on), modified rear exhaust that does not hang down behind tire, Avital algorithmic remote start and alarm system, rig also comes with extra Amsoil fluids (tranny, diff and engine oil), 5 original factory wheels with new centers will also be included. The Toyos's have less than 10,000 miles on them.

NADA is $9350.00. Probably $20,000.00 in upgrades and equipment (haven't totaled all the receipts) and I will be asking $16,000.00 if I end up moving.

Sdnative - he mentioned that: "NADA is $9350.00. Probably $20,000.00 in upgrades and equipment (haven't totaled all the receipts) and I will be asking $16,000.00 if I end up moving."

SDNative - The book value is $9350 and I'm tacking on less than $7K for $20K of mods, additions and work performed - hell man the tires and wheels alone are nearly $4k. You wouldn't want to put that kind of money in your rig and not get it back out would you - not that I ever expected to get even half back. I've seen stock 97's selling for 10-12k, who wouldn't spend another 6 for a ready to go rig.

Ha. There are only five universities in the world that offer the program I'm pursuing and two don't offer it in English. Cheaper to go out of the country any way

Sincere good wishes on getting in to the grad program. I've been looking at a lot of trucks lately anticipating the sale of my own and think the price is very fair.

Edit: Apparently nobody likes my pricing either.

This rig is SWEET! I built the sliders on it and the radius arm mounts as well as did the regear and ARB install.

IMHO, this rig is worth every cent he is asking. I was lucky enough to be able to work on this 80 and drive it back down to him in Denver when he was living in Colorado. The interior cloth is sweet too. Best 80 series I have worked on by far!

Good luck with the sale!

Did you ever hear anything about the Grad program?
Any info on HG replacement, and @ what mileage if done?
thanks Josh

Yes, I am going. I just have not re-posted it for sale. No signs of needing it based on compression. I had aTRD Super for it and I was thinking about putting it on, so I had the engine guru in Colorado check the compression on it and they were all in the low 160's with one in the mid 50's. He said he did not see signs of being replaced. I decided to not have him install the super since I thought I was going to be moving. My thinking was that if I did keep it I was going to rebuild anyway and upgrade the guts, cryo treat the motor and go turbo.
