1996 Lexus LX450, 192k miles. Unlocked. Asking SOLD
(Cash Only Please. No Trades. No Joyrides) Price is higher on Craigslist.
Location: Vancouver/Portland
I hate to do it, but I need to sell my Cruiser quickly. In the PNW I had some use for it, but I am relocating to Texas for work and will have a long commute and I don't care to do it in the LX.
Third owner: 1st owner traded it in for a 97 LC after owning this for a year. 2nd owner had it from 97 to 2014, when I bought it. It was a grocery-getter in Salt Lake City. I bought it with 174k miles and brought it to the PNW as a daily driver. It only saw some mild trails and daily driven.
Good:
· Engine is strong and gives me no problems.
· PO did the head gasket around 140k miles. (have receipts)
· Full Baseline and tune at 174,000 by Landcruiser NW (have receipts)
· CDL switch and 7-pin done. (Unlocked)
· New OEM distributor, starter and alternator done in the last few months (have receipts)
· New 285/75/16s KO2s 3000 miles on them (have receipts)
· Front axle was done in the last year at Landcruiser NW in Portland with Koyo bearings and 555 tie rod ends from Cruiser Outfitters. (have receipts)
· Kenwood double din DVD system with Bluetooth
· Pioneer speakers in the doors and Rockford amp. I have a backup camera I never installed, new in box. I have the original radio as well.
· Scanguage installed and mounted by the shifter
· Leather on 2nd and 3rd row is great. Front seats are cracked so I put sheepskin covers on them
· Power seats function perfectly.
· Dash is clean. No cracks.
· Interior is very clean with floor mats in front and middle row.
· I have the owner’s manual, window sticker and stock tool kit and jack.
· Body is clean and straight.
· Power Steering service done recently
· All interior lights converted to LED (doors, map light, dome lights)
· Wits End Center Console Organizer and window sticker (100 horsepower gain)
· All oil changes done on time
· Wobbly drivers side mirror fixed with zip ties. Holding steady.
· A/C Blows cold
· No interior water leaks
· @bhicks Double Cupholder added this month
· I have a pile of receipts from the PO and myself
Not so good:
· CEL for EGR (P0401). I threw money at it and stopped worrying about it since the rig runs well. (have receipts)
· P0710 code also and O/D Light flashes. Had checked out by Landcruiser NW and they said it is either a bad sensor or wire. Does not affect performance or drivability at all.
· Front seat leather cracked (normal)
· Small hairline crack in windshield very low out of view.
· Missing one hub cover
· Some white paint on the front bumper from rubbing the garage
· Vent flapper for fresh air whines but blows normally on recycled air setting
· Oil pump seal needs to be done, but does not leak badly at all. I add one quart between oil changes. To me it wasn't worth tearing into the entire front end.
· Rear passenger door lock does not work with remote (common)
· Windows are slow when it is cold out (common)
· Antenna doesn't work (common)
· Still on stock suspension
It's a great rig and runs strong and it's time to let her go to someone else who will take good care of her.
PM if interested. Thanks- John
