SOLD PENDING FUNDS. THANKS GUYS FOR ALL THE INTEREST AND NICE COMMENTS.
I have a red 1996 FZJ80 Cruiser that I picked up in Durango in October of last year. No lockers. The key is that it has 105K documented miles. At the time, I wanted a low mileage spare but have my eye on a 100 series now. I believe I'm the third owner of this truck. Second owner had only for a couple of months. I'd say he bought it to flip but he just didn't seem like the type I think he really changed his mind. Anyways, for sale again now. Asking price is firm and no trades. I was counseled to put it on Ebay but I've decided to sell on Mud rather than Ebay and deal with all that. Per the reports/records it was bought new in Farmington NM in 1996 and registered in Durango in September of that year (Durango is the dry SW corner of Colorado). Autocheck report shows original owner servicing it at the dealer in Cortez CO from 2005 up through about 2013, at which point it had 97,635 miles per the Autocheck. Not another registration event until July of 2016 to second owner whom I purchased it from. This jibes with seller's story that he purchased from his neighbor, who supposedly kept it garaged. Also no accidents, hail damage etc. The range of average scores for this truck on Autocheck is 44-67 and the score for this one is 78 due to few owners, low miles and no accidents. When I bought it the odo was at about 102,500. Since I purchased in October of 2016, I've only driven it 3K miles or so but it seems really solid. Newish tires about 3yrs old that I took off my other 80. I've done nothing else other than oil and all filters. Again, I don't know this Cruiser, have had it less than a year, and driven it only about 3,000 miles or so including the 600 miles from Durango back to Phoenix. I've not taken it off road other than the dirt area near my house to just make sure the 4WDLow engages properly. Again No lockers. Anything major though would seem to have reared its ugly head by now. AC very cold even in our hellishly hot summer. Has no leaks. Don't know if the head gasket has been replaced. Pesky heater hoses look okay but I've not changed. Runs like a champ. Power is considerably better than my other 80 which has 175K miles (but also has a few hundred pounds of trail armor). Interior is pretty flawless. Exterior is all original paint as far as I can tell. Has some shopping cart dings the worst one is on right rear corner if you can see in the pictures. Aftermarket radio with bluetooth, dash cam with backup feature, etc. It would seem that the low mileage is the key and more than makes up for the lack of lockers. I have the Autocheck for it that I can email to you if you'd like. The Autocheck was pulled by me at time of purchase and bears out info stated above. But I always encourage people to run their own AutoCheck or CarFax whichever you prefer. PM me and I'll give you the VIN# if you'd like to go that way. Vehicle is located in the town of Peoria on NW side of Phoenix, Arizona. A solid prospective buyer can take it to the mechanic of their choice to have it checked out if they desire. Just leave me the keys to your regular vehicle and away you go. There is a major Toyota dealership here on West Bell Rd in Peoria, AZ. PM me if you'd like to discuss the truck on the phone. I will add more pictures later in the week. For these I literally rolled it out of the storage unit so it's a bit dusty. I'll post pics of engine bay, interior, undercarriage just give me time. If you're looking for a solid low mile Southwestern Cruiser this just might be the one. Price is $11,500.
