For Sale 1996 FZJ80 Black Nice overall Engine Knock

Title says it all. Overall a very nice 80. Engine runs great but knocks- I haven't guaranteed that it is a rod but most likely is- I bought it this way and the oil was neglected. No lockers, gray leather in good condition with early signs of cracking but no cracks. No dents, shiny paint. Jumps seats. Brush guard. All original- nice loaded 80 with 161,000. $3000 obo.

I do all of my own work so, no, I have not had an estimate. It will either need new rod bearings and an overall clean up (not too expensive but slightly labor intensive), or a new engine. A used engine can be had anywhere from $1000 to $2000 depending on the mileage plus the labor for that removal and installation and any other additional parts.
