Overview:

NOTE: Now has 217k miles.

This has been my "mainland" vehicle for the past five years. My wife is a Petty Officer in the Navy stationed in Hawaii. I've made over 30 trips back to Indiana for work, hunting and other activities so I've kept this cruiser there for my use. We are relocating to the DC area so I need to move to a vehicle with better mileage and better for commuting.

When I bought this vehicle in 2006, I was mostly focused on mechanical condition and capabilities. The body/paint and interior are only in fair condition. I removed and got rid of the 3rd row seats and rear carpet and put in a rubbermaid cargo mat. The cruiser has a 2.5" lift, F/R factory diff lockers and runs great. I made a 2000 miles + trip in December-January from Bloomington, IN --> Washington DC --> Southampton, NY --> Pittsburgh, PA and back to Bloomington with no issues.

Pros:

F/R factory diff lockers
2.5" lift
PHH done! Silicon hose, constant tension clamps
Front-end rebuild, knuckle/seal kit just completed 7/2011
All brakes new (including e-brake shoes) in last 5k miles.
Major tuneup (kit from CruiserDan) fall of 2010
New EGR modulator has cleared up my P0401 code
Head Gasket - I BELIEVE it has been replaced by a PO. Why - well, first I haven't had any problems with it and it likely would have failed by now. Second, and more scientific I guess, is that the sealant around the front of the head is black and my understanding is that the factory used gray. The most likely reason for removing the head would have been to replace the HG.

Extras

Front grill/bumper guard (not installed)
Turn signal protectors (not installed)

Cons:

Paint is only fair. Many chips/pits on front trim and hood, around taillights (where protectors were installed), rust on the upper hatch of the lift gate.
Interior - driver's seat is torn and has lost some stuffing on the side. Carpets are stained. Dash/console look good. No 3rd row seats. Rear carpet removed and replaced with rubbermaid mat (I view this as a pro)
Tires - getting close to the end of their useful life. Some tread remains, but they are starting to weather/age pretty badly. I would replace them if I were keeping this cruiser.
Wheels - have some corrosion on what look like stock rims to me. Missing one plastic hub cap.
Oil leak - front end. I add 1 quart between oil changes.

Other:

This cruiser (as do most I've seen) has the sun/moon roof and it was leaking. I did the fix where I created a large "rubberband" from a bicycle tire and inserted in under the glass seal lip. I also replaced both of the plastic trim pieces that direct the water to the front corners of the well and cleared the drains. Since then I've been through many heavy rains without leaks.

Price/Location:

Please contact me through email from my mud profile. I check email 10+ times per day, but am not as reliable on PMs.

I kept this cruiser in Bloomington, IN for years while I "commuted" from Hawaii for work. We have now relocated to the Ft. Meade, MD area and I am driving it out from Indiana on August 24th. It will still be for sale as I look to move to a smaller vehicle for daily driving.

Best I've got

I'm still 5,000 miles from my cruiser so my brother took these for me.

The last pic shows the results from the front oil leak.
