So my oldest son has a 96 cruiser. He took it out mudding and ripped part of the rear fender flare off. He ordered some new ones that came in and they didn't really fit correctly on the rear wheel flares. Any suggestions on fender flares that might fit? I tried the search fucntion here but couldnt really find anything. Thanks in advance

The flares are specific to year.
91-92
93-94
95-97

Sound like he may have got wrong year. The later years are also made of different material than the earlier types.

Find a used toyota flare for the year of vehicle you have. I don't think there are aftermarket flares that match but I could be wrong.

Not only are the flares available from Toyota, but the mounting hardware, of which there is entirely too much, is also still available.

If you want new parts, use your VIN and search the PartSouq website for the part numbers you need.
You want the BODY/INTERIOR category and then this panel:

Then email Dave Stedman at Japan 4x4 with the part numbers. No one can beat Dave's prices.

As noted above, body parts no longer come from Toyota in body colors, for the most part. They are (badly) primed and must be painted to match the truck.

Which aftermarket flares did you buy? There are a handful out there and I need a set right now. They all say 90-97 so I'm not sure they even account for the differences across the years. My 97 trail rig has been a hard wheeler the last 7ish years but I am now overlanding and camping mostly and the hard wheelin days seem to be over. I would prefer to put flares back on the keep the pebbles from mashing my elbows with the windows down but my OEM flares are long gone.
