Title says it all. Hoping to buy a 1996/1997 FZJ80 or LX450, preferably within 500 miles of Denver. Budget is 8k. Really looking for rust free and in a state it could make it back to Denver.

Found one for 6k but has 375k miles. Thoughts on that being too many?

$8k is a mixed bag for an 80 right now. I'd search threads on buying an 80 to make sure you know what you're getting into. A $20k 80 could be cheaper in year one than an $8k 80. The same can be reversed depending on your luck. These aren't cheap vehicles to own and as always with a used vehicle, make sure your bank account has more than you're spending on the rig itself.

If well maintained with toyota parts- as in parts replaced as their service life comes to an end, not just when they break (like cooling system items, front axle rebuild, rear ff axle maintenance, fluid replacement throughout), and is rust free, I wouldn't hesitate on an 80 with 375k miles for that money. If it needs all the baseline items from being neglected, you will spend a ton getting it there.

Even new top brand 33" tires can be a $1500 swing in price.

I have a Triple Locked 93 with 205K miles. Was fully baselined by Slee 5K miles ago. Outside Steamboat, and you can drive it anywhere without any problems.

Edit... Sorry, read your post again about $8K budget. I have $25K+ into mine, so best reasonable offer.

Decided to pass on the 367k-mile truck. Still looking. I'll consider up to 10K trucks
15k 191k miles ready to travel anywhere in the world.

Also I will be at Silverton Colorado on August the 24th thru 29/30th...if you want to check it out or pickup...
