Up for sale is my 1995 HZJ73 LX purchased from Joe of Joe's Classic Cruisers of Texas in summer of 2023. I have very much enjoyed the truck, but do not drive it much as it is mainly a weekend driver, so time to sell. Joe was chasing a noise between fourth and fifth gear while it was in his possession. He subsequently rebuilt the transfer case and replaced the transmission with a rebuilt unit to fix the issue. The truck has an aftermarket air conditioning unit and a turbo from an 80 series. Left hand drive unit from the a collector of 4x4s in the Netherlands. I had Joe install new ARB deluxe front bar, Trail Tailor sliders, and Old Man Emu lift kit while under his possession. He also installed a new hood strut kit. New 33'' BFG tires as well. The truck then went to his electrical guy where they fixed the cigarette lighter and clock which were not working. It received new speaker pods for the doors and a new Blaupunkt head unit and speakers for the doors and in the dash.

Since receiving the truck, it has recently received fixes for a not functioning fuel gauge and new hinges for the rear barn doors which were out of alignment. It also received brake and headlight upgrades. An oil change was done as well. This work was done early this year by Cruiser Works of Virginia Beach.

The truck remains largely as purchased because it is mainly used as a side vehicle for pleasure use. It is registered as an antique and used as such. Never driven roughly and always on the road. 249,059 kilometers. 40K obo.

The car initially sat a bit high on the rear end. Joe removed a few of the leaf springs and it currently sits level with the front.

The truck has always been garaged under my ownership and never exposed to salted roads. I hope the price is fair. I have not seen many other LHD units for sale. I have a few thousand more, approximately $42K invested since purchase and have driven less than 5K miles since then. Need to find the exact kilometers when I received it, but it is only driven on short highway rides on the weekend. I do not like having to sell the truck, as it is a very unique vehicle that I still greatly enjoy driving, but need the space for something more practical.

The engine is the 1HZ with an 80 series turbo. Joe had the replacement transmission in his shop. I will check.

Found the original ad on page 10 of the classifieds (currently). The ad was deleted and I am not sure if it can be restored. It says that the turbo was from a 1HDT.

The truck was inspected by Cruiser Works of Virginia Beach last week and earlier this year. The owner knows this truck well. Message me for his contact information. He is a MUD member.
