8/26/2011 --- Second Last Chance --- South Texas drought forces me to reconsider selling. Need cash to buy cows hay, or they will be up for sale too. Mileage is 211,XXX. Recently replaced A/C evaporator, expansion valve, recharge, etc... ($650.00 expense. A/C blows cold.) Condition pretty much the same as previously described, with an additional 10K miles on the speedo and normal wear. Any takers at $5500.00 cash and firm?

8/2/2010 --- Last chance --- Any takers at $6000.00 firm! 201,XXX mileage

Decided to give it another try. Placing my landcruiser back on the market. Same condition as described below plus another 4000 miles (199,000 total at time of relisting) and CEL came on. Believe it is the cats.

Price reduced to $6800.00.

Can't believe I am doing this. Up for sale is a 1995 FZJ80, in very good condition (well above average for year and mileage IMO) with factory differential locks. This is a daily driver which has been used primarily for commuting to and from work. I have owned this vehicle for approx. 4.5 years and I have put approx. 80,000 miles on it while in my possession. Pictures should speak for themselves regarding condition.

Current Mileage: 195,000 (however, will continue to drive until sold)
Asking price: $8000.00 OBO

As with most Landcruisers with almost 200,000 miles, it puffs a little smoke at start up and uses ~ 1 quart of oil every 1500 miles or so when driving highway miles. Also needs new catalytic converter.

Located approx. 2 hours South of San Antonio, Texas.

Things I have done, that I can remember (although I have a file of everything with receipts):
  • BFG 285/75/16 AT tires (approx. 50 - 60% tread life left)
  • New Toyota carpet in front half (rear is in good condition)
  • Replaced some interior parts (all which were new from Toyota)
  • New radiator (Toyota)
  • New master cylinder and power brake booster (Toyota)
  • New front brake discs and rotors (Toyota)
  • Replaced rear brake proportioning valves (Toyota)
  • Replaced rear main seal (Toyota)
  • Serviced transmission soon after purchasing (Toyota)
  • Replaced O2 sensors (Toyota)
  • Replaced oil pump seal (Toyota)
  • New battery
  • Replaced rear differential seal (reputable repair shop)
  • New antenna and antenna motor (Toyota)
  • Replaced hose from air filter to intake (Toyota)
  • Replaced EGR valve (Toyota)
  • Removed factory roof rack and had entire vehicle repainted. NOTE: I know this makes folks suspicious so I'll explain why....I have cows and one backed into the front quarter panel and dented it. At the time, the hood and roof had serious fading from sun oxidation so I had the quarter panel repaired and entire vehicle repainted. No vehicular collision.
  • If interested, I'll go through my folder of receipts and provide additional information on repairs performed. As you can see, no $$$ was spared in maintaining this Landcruiser.
Pictures will follow. Please PM me if interested, have questions, or need additional information.

Questions regarding 'offers' and 'trading'

Will consider reasonable offers. May also consider trade for heavy duty pick-up in good condition with < 100,000 miles. No 1/2 ton pick ups please; need to pull large goose neck cattle trailer.

Reconsidering

No interests yet, so I am seriously reconsidering whether I want to sell.

This is a very clean Landcruiser that has never been used "offroad". The only mud it has ever seen is our dirt road up to the house after a good rain storm.

that does indeed look like a clean truck, esp with diff locks and minimal to no visible rust underneath. if this were post tax-refund and maybe $1k less, i'd hit that.

good luck, and best of '10 to you.

Thanks for the well wishes

Thanks for the well wishes for 2010. Same to you and your family.

It seems to be a slow market right now. The way things are going, I may still have it post tax season.

A little history on the Landcruiser: I am 3rd owner. First owner purchased and drove it a few thousand miles. 2nd owner was a a family friend who is a realtor we have known for 12 years. I am the 3rd. This Landcruiser has lived its' entire life in South Texas. With the exception of one trip to Colorado last winter, and a freak snow storm in South Texas on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2004 (12 inches where I live), it has never seen snow or road salt. There is absolutely no rust that I know of. Anything you may be seeing on on the undeside is surface from normal exposure.

Happy New Year to all.

Trades and offers considered

Would also consider various trades or trades and cash (depending on condition/mileage). Would consider any or the following:

Fuel efficient vehicle (prefer diesel Jetta)
Truck (3/4 ton or toyota 4X4)
Enclosed motorcycle trailer in good condition
ATV

Very nice 80. Definitely one worth $7000. If I wasn't so attached to my 60 I would want to drive this one.

INterested in Dallas

Interested in the Cruiser and am in the state, but in Dallas. Is this still for sale?
