I am seriously looking to purchase a 95-97 FZJ80 in about 6 wks. need to settle on a real estate deal first. Here is what i would like. If anyone on the board can help i will thrilled, any and all leads are welcome.
- No color preference
- must have lockers
- Leather
- under 150k miles
- under $11,000
- Prefer to be as close to DC area but will travel to get a good 80.
Thats about it, the main thing is the lockers, mileage, and price.
Thanks, Brandon

Wait just one friggin' second here.......aren't you only 18? If you are buying a house at 18 and i'm still renting at 26 i'll be pissed!!

hhahaa not hardly, jungle. My dad is a builder, he needs to settle on a house he is about to finish before HE can buy an 80. He just wants me to start looking now....

You may have already found these guys, but there is a dealer in Harrisonburg VA called myersautoexchange.com.....

He buys mostly low-mileage 80s, and sells them for a premium. I was about to make the trek up there to see a few he has before I found a suitable one closer to home after months of searching, but I was willing to pay more and wanted a sub 100K Cruiser. It is worth at least a call, maybe a visit, he might be able to point you in the right direction or get one at auction for you. Keep in mind he regularly asks $16K-18K for nice rigs, one had 50K miles, another was about 72K.....Tell him your parameters, it is worth at least a phone call.

Another guy on Ebay is out of Wilkins, WV. He has had up to 20 of them at one time, and as of a month ago, he had about 9. He buys and sells them all the time, but again, usually for a premium. You already know you can do better from an individual, but making calls and giving your number out doesn't hurt.

As soon as I bought my 80, I started getting calls from some guys I'd given my number to who either got one or knew someone else that had one. Even from people/dealers that would have nothing to gain....

I saved searches and checked Ebay, autotrader, and cars.com every day, in addition to the local paper.

I have emailed myers and the guy in elkins, Wv. I know they both are good for usually have a few 80's. I told them both what im looking for. WV guy said he would start looking. I have an older bother at JMU in harrisonburg. I have visited myers twice, was there last week infact. Very shady, he had two or three 80's. known with lockers. He didnt even try to talk to me and his facility is an old gas station. i emailed him and the only thing he emailed me back was his phone number...oh well.
