1993 LC dying at idle HELP!

Have owned this rig for 15 yrs and love it. Live in Duluth, MN and have no complaints other than mileage that was until 2 wks ago when it began dying at idle when cold. Initially starts fine then as it begins to warm it drops below 500rpm and quits. It seems to get better as the vehicle warms up but for the first few stops I have to watch or it will quit at the stop sign. I have disconnected the EGK something valve to no eval, replace the throttle body with a used unit from Crusier.net as well as a new throttle cable as it was sticking on. The mechanic at the dealership with 30 yrs experience working on Toyotas says it's going to be searching for a needle in a haystack so I decided to go elsewhere. Any ideas?

You are not getting any help as you are in the wrong forum. Try the 80series forum.

check the rubber air intake tube the goes from the mass air meter to the throttle body. It probably has a crack in it and is allowing unmetered air into the motor.
