Does anyone know the diameter of the factory exhaust pipes between the manifolds and cats? Im thinking about fabing up a new exhaust and plan to install two universal spun magnaflow cats in place of the originals.

Good info here on the ypipe .I have really enjoyed the MagnaFlow. I also installed a walker direct fit muffler, no resenator, it's very quiet.

Mine was a 94, I deleted the side by side and did a custom exhaust from there back. I welded the bung and moved the o2s to the manifold

Doing the same, putting the Magnaflow down pipe / cat on my 93. I don't have emissions, but I don't mind cleaning it up a little. It should provide more clearance too. I'm undecided on the exhaust from there. Want to do the OTRAMM stainless, but I'm hitting a spending wall on this thing.

To answer your question though, since I have them laying here... Looks like about 2" or 50mm at the down pipes going in to the cat, flared up a bit to 2 1/16 or 53mm for the fitting. Cat exits are closer to 2 3/8 or 60mm on the tube that heads over the frame.
