This is a bit different of a setup. I am not buying this vehicle as my funds are elsewhere but I will "broker" and import this vehicle if anyone is interested. The vehicle is currently at a dealer in Southern France. I have imported 14 vehicles now and would be happy to bring this girl to the US for $1500. I can provide references for other vehicles I have brokered. I also happen to be a Licensed Customs Broker and did 8 years handling imports for a freight forwarder.

This is a rea1 Left Hand Drive HDJ81 and thus it has a 1HDT 4.2l Turbo Diesel straight six. Vin is JT111TJ8007007641 which you can check on Toyodiy. It is 25 years old thus is perfectly legal to bring in to the US.

Per the seller:
"The vehicle has 315,880kms (196,279 miles)but the engine was completely rebuilt by a professional at 251,500kms so it has 64,380 km since rebuild.

The paint is new.

He was never rough or other damage.

There were 2 owners

This vehicle has been appraised by a private firm and estimated 22,000 euros.

2 new batteries + starter."

Dealer is asking $18,800 for the truck
I am still working on a landed cost as I found this vehicle 7/26.
Rough estimate 23-25k delivered to port, customs cleared and duty paid.

25 years old import limit laws should make these more common.

You would think so but the truth is they are becoming much harder to find in Europe, especially the ones with the 5 speeds and ac.Auto with act like this one seems to be more common but still not to many around anymore

Did this sell? I would have thought it would have got more of a response. Is it the miles, the price, or the unknown with bringing over the pond. For me it was the miles, and I really want a manual 70 series. Thoughts from the group?

I have an 88 hilux surf 2L-T, I was wondering if you could tell me a good place to get parts for it, such as coolant hose kit (including turbo hose lines) and is thus considered an LN60 or LN130? what series is it? I' like to get a snorkel and intercooler for it! I drove it from north Carolina to Alaska last week, cool rig! Thanks Scott Hunt
