1991 Toyota Land Cruiser Turbo Diesel Intercooler

Mechanic special – runs fair (smoking lightly – whitish blue, turbo needs to be rebuilt), needs some electrical work (parasitic draw), engine tuning, no AC system (I have a condenser), castor correctors need to be installed, shifting is a bit funky, exhaust leak from 1 joint – needs to be wielded up, no cruise control– Asking $7500 obo

Isuzu 3.9l 4cly turbo diesel from NPR truck – 4bd1t Isuzu engine swapped into this cruiser. Stock 80’s get around 11 mpg with the gas 6cyl, this diesel gets 20-22mpg.

The good – too much to list so I will stick to the larger items and list typical worth
3.9l Isuzu diesel engine with around 190k (these can go to 400k) - $3000
OME lift 2-3” - $1000
1” body lift - $700
Engine adapter to tranny (isuzudieselswapper) - $1000
700r4 GM tranny from corvette – rebuilt with diesel torque converter - $800
Tranny adapter to TC (Marksadapters) - $1500
Vibration and noise treatment for interior - $800
600w sound system - $400
Paint – rustoleum textured durable “bedliner” (can be sanded and used as primer) - $400
Custom driveshafts - $500
Rebuilt injection pump and injectors - $1700 (have spares)

Not registered as a diesel – so if you live in a place with smog/emissions testing this cruiser is not for you, unless you can register as a classic/historic vehicle.

I am selling this cruiser on Ebay so please go to 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser | eBay and bid there, ends 6/25 at 4pm. If you want a video of it running/driving message me. If you are local and want to see it text or call 8two8 4zero7 8one44.

Whats with the title issue?

Well, the data shows the title is salvage title, and there are 4, yes 4 odometer rollback records/discrepancies

I have it now listed with salvage title. I bought the non-running salvage 80 with blown head gasket and put a Diesel engine in it. I realize the title history is sorted and that is why it got turned into a project vehicle. What do odometer rollbacks mean to a rebuilt vehicle with a different engine in it? Yes this is 100% a non-traditional vehicle title and sale, although my Arizona does not have it listed as salvage.
