hey guys. looking at a prado with the s***ty 22LT turbo diesel. motor's gone and I'm thinking of swapping in a different one. I've searched for awhile but can't find tranny info for it...
you guys know what tranny it should have? It's an automatic.

What is a ****ty 22LT turbo diesel? I am not familiar with the 22LT.

I would assume 22LT is the 2LT turbo diesel.

looks like toyota have a new diesel 22LT - I think you mean 2LT lol.

drop in the 1KZ and the matching auto they come in a 1/2 cut complete.

holy, i feel like im giving a speech in 4th grade and my pants just fell down lol the ad stated 22lt. i didn't know the difference.

thnx for the info guys. so im assuming that a 2H motor with A440F bell housing aren't gonna bolt up then, which means a tranny/t-case swap and custom shafts. :frown: i googled somewhere that some prados came with the a440f but there's so many different models it was probably newer with a bigger motor.

here's the beast and a little tweaked photoshop pic inspired by the crew cab 70 thread. i know where there's a 70 series pickup. would look so much better with the square rear door and longer wheelbase, then you could actually make the box this long:)-

So are you actually buying this vehicle or already the owner?.......like the 'stretch' lol.

no just thinking about it. my 62 is getting rusty and i'm just browsing for homes for the 2H. i wonder what these trucks have for axles. im thinking similar to 85 mini truck front and 86+ mini rear, but ive never seen one in person so i dunno...

They have 8" axles.

If you can overlook the engine ( or better yet replace it ) the LJ78 is one of the most comfortable, capable Land Cruisers you can
own. ( IMHO). I really enjoyed mine however I could not ignore the issues with the engine.
