Looking on bidding on this during its final day on Bat. Beautiful truck! Its awesome the owner is on Mud!

Looking forward to finding a new home for the truck! As far as interesting, capable, enthusiast-destined trucks are concerned each model of the 70 series really delivers. My only regret was having the truck during a time in my life when I really couldn’t take it out and use it for what it was meant. Learning point there is that when the time comes I’ll already know what I want to buy!

Both drip rails in front of the rear tires were being eaten up a few inches. Pic below of one of the rails before. On the passenger side it crept up to the wheel well, which was discovered during their inspection after pulling off the over-fender. All good now! IH8rust.

what was the quality of the rust repair job? Also, A fellow mudder noticed a black syubstance leaking from the engine around the air intake I think. Can you identify what that is? Thanks

The rust repair seemed high quality. When I get down there everything looks normal. Both sides came out to about 2k total. It looks like some oil blowby around where the intake house connects to the manifold.

Okay, thanks for answering. 23 hours left...

Bumped it up on Bat and made an offer that represents the value of just engine , transmission and both axles. Hopefully others will see the light now and make you a decent offer.

Thanks Joe, agreed on pricing, very curious to see how today goes. I may be wrong but I think this is the first HZJ73 on BaT. Testing those waters!

I contacted them last year when I was selling my personal HZJ73 but the reserve was way to low , I contacted them about it and they said their pricing was correct...…. I sold mine 3 days later at double of their reserve and had 3 buyers ready to buy it !

Only 1.5 hours left! I sent BaT some more undercarriage photos since there was a commenter saying there weren't enough. They said it in that nice internet way with gobs of sarcasm...

My wife never actually approved so I am not going above 11k Joe. You got it if the reserve is actually that low!

And then the third dog showed up and walked away with it. Congrats to the buyer and to Nojeep I doubt there will ever be a HZJ73 for sale in the US under 11K , this guy got a bargain even if the quality of the paint job was only so and so and it was an auto vs the more sought after 5 speed. The guy stole it !

I thought that appeared to be a good price for the buyer. I was expecting this to go in the $13~$15k range. I was watching and kept thinking there is no way this is going for under 10, then finally it went up some more.
