Came across what I belive as a sweet deal today. 1990 Hjz77 196kms on her, factory lockers, arb bumper, 5spd, 255/85/16 cooper st tires, 3 piece aluminum wheels, factory winch, factory racaro front bucket seats, 3inch lift. previous owner has maintained truck. price is $15,000firm. I would love to buy but I already have one, but may still buy it. If not I will pass it on to anyone here. I am having trouble loading pictures but I will try again later.

i saw that ad earlier and felt the price was high for the mileage.
i love white though.
i will pass.

Currently there are two HZJ77s that i know of that are for sale.

Both have been imported by Simon Lieu originally.

Last i knew Prairiecruiser1 had the 2 tone grey 77.
5 speed, Turbo'd, intercooled, Zeal Lift, WVO conversion, ARB bumper, custom rear bumper, ect.
Looks like a nice rig.
Last I heard he wanted 22 for it last year. But I do not know the current price.....
here are a few shots from Simon's thread:

MarcDa has one for sale as well.
5 speed, Front/Rear Diff-locks, Zeal Lift, ARB bumper
Asking 15,000 if I remember correctly which I think is extremely fair.

So if anyone is looking for 77s these two are your tickets.

If anyone wanted to convert one to LHD, are the parts easy to find from other 70?
I would be looking at what kind of price range for a conversion?
I saw the few posts/threads about LHD conversion on the 70's forum and was wondering if anyone was offering this service...

Cheers

JF

That white one is one fine looking Cruiser. Ashamed it can't find a home in the States.

no, they are not easy to come by in good enough shape and cheap enough to use for conversions...

I hate the Quebec gov. for banning RHD vehicles... I should've stayed in the Yukon... actually, I could register it there and drive it anywhere... like I do with my old 91 audi 200 tq avant.

I am missing cruisers too much I guess...

It could be worse....you could live in the U.S. where stupid import laws and politics would prevent you from owning a HZJ77 no matter which side the steering wheel was located.

Makes no difference to be here... would you drive it to Alaska from the east coast just to get it registered and then drive it back home? wait.... I guess I would do it.... nevermind...

....would you drive it to Alaska from the east cost just to get it registered....unfortunately other than a really cool "road trip" driving it to Alaska would accomplish nothing ( they have the same stupid import laws):) but I see your point.

We actually did that road trip last summer in a Honda Odyssey... 2 adults 3 kids, camping all the way from Montreal to Whitehorse. Great trip! Went salmon fishing in Haines, AK, one of my favourite places in AK with Homer.

I know it is the same law for import... but in Canada, I think only the province of Quebec has a ban on RHD... not the others. go figure
