$2500 firm Thought I would post this here before I put it up for sale locally. Selling my 1990 FJ62 (built end of 89) Good solid truck. Runs and drives well. There is some rust on the body, particularly near the wheel wells and the bottom of the doors. There is some surface rust above the windshield as well as on the hood. Its not a rust bucket by any means but it is there. The frame is in good shape with just some minor surface rust here and there. The rear frame channels are the worst but are still very solid (see pics). The transfer case leaks a bit of atf. According to my research on mud there is an o-ring in the tcase that can wear and allow atf to migrate from the trans to the tcase overfilling the tcase and causing it to leak. It requires disassembly of the tcase to replace the oring. I have been running it this way (combination gear oil and atf) since I bought it 3 years ago and have noticed no ill effects on the tcase (runs quiet, shifts smooth) . The transmission shifts smooth. I added an atf cooler in front of the radiator shortly after I purchased it. Just need to keep an eye on the fluid level because of the aforementioned problem. The engine runs well. I change the oil every 6 months and never have to add in between. I do occasionally have to add a bit of coolant. Not sure where this is going. There is no sign of coolant in the oil or vice versa. The engine did overheat once when it blew a hole in the radiator. Replaced radiator and havent had any problems. There is a bit of smoke on startup on a cold morning that quickly goes away. The rear heater does smell of coolant when you turn it on but the carpet never gets wet and I dont see a leak underneath. So again, not sure. Heater and ac work. Electric windows work (very slowly). Electric locks work on front doors sometimes on rear doors. Interior is in good condition. Comes with sor seat covers that I have never taken off except to take these pictures. Led interior lights.33 inch bfg all terrains only a couple years old. Never used bfg spare mounted inside to sor interior tire mount ( I have the under the truck mount as well). Dual batteries with 80amp continuous duty relay. Air compressor mounted in engine bay. Freeze plug block heater. 2 wheel low mod. This is my daily driver for the past 3 years. Drives well on road (just slowly). Great off road.
