1990 Bj73 - $20,000
Located in Everett, WA (just north of Seattle). Vehicle is titled in Washington State and licensed.

Details:
  • 202k miles (324k km's)
  • Motor: 3bii naturally aspirated diesel, with hoses and additional filter to run bio diesel (currently running 80/20 Summer mix, and 95/5 in the winter). Biodiesel setup can be easily removed and has no effect with regular diesel.
  • Manual everything: 5spd, manual windows, manual hubs

Background:
Left hand drive, 5psd land cruiser. Imported from Europe at some point in its life (I am the 3rd owner in the US). It is a medium wheelbase with a removable FRP (Fiberglass Reenforced Panel) top, which is great for cruising around in the Summer.

Since I have purchased it
I have done a decent amount of work, and have all the receipts and paperwork. A list of all the modifications and a build page on iH8mud to show for it. Irish's Another BJ73 Build Thread | IH8MUD Forum

  • Interior: welded up a few rough spots on the floor pan, coated it in Master Series sealer, added sound deadening.
  • New stock parts: brake calipers, pads, belts, power steering pump, clutch slave, JDM taillights with harnesses (have the stock Euro style as well), mirrors, fixed cable controls for the heater & fuel door, new locks.
  • Aftermarket parts: Noco dual battery charger, Tuffy console, ARB bumper, ComeUp 24v winch, added a 24v to 12v stepdown with separate switched 12v auxiliary panel, interior LED lights, speakers, and 24v stereo. and just fixed a lot of odds and ends.

It is in good shape for its age. This is not a show truck (it will likely not win you a lot of looks at a cars and coffee, but you will get asked a lot of questions by Toyota and Land Cruiser people), it’s a vehicle designed to be used and enjoyed.

  • There is some blowby from the engine, which I had looked over by Torfab in Everett (experts in Land Cruisers and diesel Cruisers specifically). Happy to provide Torfab's work checklist along with what I have done on it. There is some white smoke on start up but not every time, more so when its been sitting for a while.
  • There is likely some bodywork that needs to be done on the rear passenger side quarter panel (I suspect there is some bondo under the paint that was added at some point) and drivers fender (there is a dent in the fender)
  • Driver's and passenger door have rust and the hood clear coat is failing.

Comes with spare parts, aftermarket mirrors, stock bumper, stock fender flares (one will need some work, it was broken when I bought it), box of 24v aftermarket wiring that I removed when I bought it, filters, oils and fuel treatment.

Happy to go into detail on what has been done and what was/is next on the list for projects. You can come drive it and enjoy it. It’s a great little tractor.
