Hi 'a head bolt' Q.
Are head bolts in 1990 3B engine different specs than 1985 3b? I'm trying to find a bolt set and can only find sets for older engines. Thanks for any help.

If there are 2 or more types, Engines Australia would have them.

After having a look at part diagrams, there is no 3B landcruisers imported into Australia after 1989, but there are Dyna and Coasters until 1995.
The part numbers and years vary from market to market.
In the ARL 7* series there is and early and late numbers with different dimensions
below 84-88 and 88-89

Hi Rosco, thanks so much those numbers should get me out of trouble. Yes my engine is out of a coaster had 24v glows. and the ten stud exhaust manifold. Cheers

If they ask for a model number, this one is for a 1986- 1992 Coaster 3B , give them this "BB21R-MRZQ" This should be the part number and dimensions

Belated reply Rosco, many thanks I've now got a 14b engine, cannot find a fuel pump so far I'm wondering if it's part of the injector pump. I noticed recently that when my tank is below half the engine seems to miss or cough at around 34hundred. fill the tank and it's gone. I've replaced the filter and have yet to get down to a half tank as a test. Any clues on the fuel pump? Cannot find it as a description on a parts page. Cheers

It is part of the injector pump. Air is the main culprit. I think the later LWB models had lift pumps, but I could not see one for your model.
3400rpm? Sounds a bit fast for a 14B engine, but they should rev to about 4200 in neutral if the fuel system is working correctly, according to the manual.
There could be other issues like a partially blocked fuel pick up. You can isolate it with a temporary fuel system and see if it can reach 4200. There are other tests like testing the feed pump to see how much vacuum it has or how much volume it can draw. Its all in the workshop manual.
