Need to down size on some toys see here it goes.

1989 Toyota Cressida with a Twin Turbo 1JZ-GTE motor installed. Chassis has 135k miles and is solid, everything works as it should and is a very comfortable vehicle and great DD. It has power everything and grey leather interior in great shape.

Under the hood is the 1JZ with full 3" exhaust. In stock form the motor puts out 280hp, so with the exhaust its somewhere b/t 280-300. The motor is a JDM pull-out with under 60kms.

Botton line, this is a very very fun sleeper and will hang with the majority of other performance cars out there.
The engine swap was done by Grip Industries in Florida and is very clean overall.

I have installed new front brakes, alternator, and battery.

Mud Price is $5500.

After Friday the 16th, the vehicle will be located in NC but will be around DC on weekends.

is that a Supra motor? Where in NOVA are you?

The '93-'97 Supra we have in the state use a 2JZ-GTE.

This is basically the original version of it. A twin turbo 2jz will put down 320 hp while this one is slightly less.

However, at full boost, i doubt the first thing on your mind will be wanting is more power.

I'm in centreville.

i've never had the pleasure of driving a turbo'd 2jz so i can't comment on how the 2 engines compare.

As for it being on ebay, it is the same one. I bought it, had it shipped up and have done a few neccesary things to make it a more suitable DD. My only reason for selling is realizing i dont need another toy/something get me into trouble. If i can get $5500 i brake even.

It will do a 1/4 mile in the mid 13's

what changes have been made to it since the purchase? any rust?

It does have some rust on the front fenders. These are easy to change out and readily available from scrap yards. If i keep it for awhile i plan to put new ones on. The rest of the body is solid.

Since purchase i've put front brakes on it, a new alternator, and a new cat is going on tomorrow. The short list of things to do include a new head unit and speakers throughout.

Auto tranny.

i believe the stock one does fine give the power increase. I dont know the toyota designation off the top of my head but could find it.

I looked into a 5-speed swap but they can be price.

the auto shift nice and does not inhibit the perf. at all.
