Truck looks nice and I have a few questions and maybe a few more photos to request. I emailed you this afternoon through Craigslist so you should have my contact info.

bill.davis@jan-pro.com

Talk to you soon, Bill D.

Did you replace the carpet or did a previous owner? It looks great, if you have any info on it I'd love to know. Thanks and I doubt I need to wish you too much luck with the sale at this price....you won't need much luck.

I don't see the price???

Thx. That's a nice price. I'm in my research phase during recovery from a medical issue..
but really looking to buy in 2 months.. unless something irresistable comes up!

I doubt this will last that long at that price!

I'm more familiar with the FJ40s, and had to sell my 1971 2 years ago.. :crybaby:
This rig is much more practical for my family needs.

A few questions..

What size/type tires?

What kind of brakes? Condition?

Bit concerned about the rear diamond plate. I always worry that was done to cover up
fatal rust, or who knows what lurks below? Any idea of damage or rust under there?
Any pics of the frame/undercarriage?

Any idea how much it might cost to ship to North Orange County, CA?

Also concerned about that check engine light, and it passing CA Smog. Any idea what's
up with that? Have you had it checked out by your mechanic? Or is it one of those
unsolvable gremlins that sometimes haunt ol' rigs?

I'll be using it for some solo camping to fish/hunt, and for my son's boy scout camping
trips. I'll want to put down a mattress in the back to sleep. Does that 2nd row fold
down flat? Or does the whole bench pull out completely?

How much oil does it leak?

Thanks so much. I will PM you my phone and email.

I too have been looking for a FJ60/62. For me the transport cost isn't any issue, as I would drive it back. I recently drove 22 hours straight from Dallas to LA in a car purchase.

However, the check engine light needs to be fixed for CA smog. It can't merely be "off." as the code is stored in the ECU, which fails smog.

Good to know. Thanks.
I'll have to keep that in mind. I don't know if I would be able to handle that drive by myself. I have road tripped to Texas before, but with a
group of friends. Plus, some of these vehicles with the larger tires, that might be a bumpy brain-rattling 22 hours (or more, unless you can
really push the highway speeds, which in a lot of cases, you can not). I'd probably opt to ship it.

I think we're both looking for similar rigs. I might buy in April or later. Just trying to learn about these rigs. I know the FJ40 much better.

Good luck on finding your dream rig!

31x10.5x15 tires. Brakes are decent; these rigs are not known for fantastic brakes but they work with no issue. It drives down the hwy with no problems. The the cargo area is covered with aluminum diamond plate on the sides and rubber on the floor. It was down very well and the previous owner installed sound deadening material underneath. I have some pics of the install that the previous owner took; Ill try and find them.

The bench folds forward and the red bench folds flat. I have had an air mattress in the back several times.

I have checked the engine light which hasn't come on in over 2 months. Apparently the tips gets stuck occasionally and to fix it it must be removed and sprayed with electrical cleaner. It has never caused any problem so I haven't had any dire need to clean or replace it. I just purchased new registration and inspection this past Friday.
