I don't see nothin'.

Making this a help thread. Need sanity check with converting late FJ60 pedal to FJ62 for 3F conversion. Thought this would be a straight bolt in but don't see how.

I grafted a 62 cable pedal to my 60 pedal for diesel conversion.

I used the 60 as a base plate for mounting, and welded the the 62 base to it. Once the 62 pedal and arms are in place, I drilled the firewall for cable. Looks stock and takes all stock cable and parts.

I also used the 62 hand throttle, which lined up with the 60 dash, and works great.

I'll look for a picture.

I don't have a picture of the pedal firewall mount, but if you look at them, it will make sense.

Thanks guys, I saw the dash hole for the hand throttle so I thought if that is there all I need is the 62 pedal parts. Besides, Cruiserparts in their conversion page say it is a bolt in. It's funny but sad how often you hear "bolt in". I do like the fact that the late U.S. 60 was on the assembly line with the rest of the world cruisers already getting the upgrades. Just put in the new trans mount and speedo cable so starting to come forward again on the project. Messing with the steering column as well because I got a 62 assembly with the nicer padded wheel. Interesting in this case also what crosses over and what doesn't. Kinda sad about taking the 22 shell casing out for the horn contact.

For the 2FE, this was the solution for me. 60 mounting base and pedal with 62 upper arm welded to the 60 pedal arm cut above the pivot. New hole in firewall for 62 cable and mounting parts. Even had provision for hand throttle. You have to do some bending, tweaking, etc. to get everything to all work together, but no real drama involved. Working well for a few years now.
