This is NOT my vehicle. Just stopped at the Toyota dealership (Cedar Rapids Toyota) to pick up belts for my new 93 80 and got to talking with the salesperson. She mentioned they just got in an "older Land Cruiser". She brought it around. I drove it and it runs good. Carb needs adjusting or cleaning but runs good. Rides solid like a 60.

There is some minor surface rust underneath but not horrible. Needs a little TLC but would be a fun DD. Unfortunately I just bought the 93 so I'm not in the market even though I want it really bad.

They are asking $9900 but she is going to call me with what they will let it go for. If you are interested I will PM you her contact info.

UPDATE; Sold one day later. Don't know price it sold for but will see if I can find out.

Here are some pics.

what do you think its worth? do you have one?

I've owned 2 60s and 1 62. I don't think $9900 is completely out of line. I don't watch the 60 market closely but know they have been going crazy.

I know a local guy that just bought one with a lot more/worse rust from Montana and paid $7-8k plus flying out and driving it home. If I had the money and wanted another 60 I'd walk in with $9000 cash and throw it on the table and grab the title and go.

Think the little rust is an issue on it?

That depends who you ask. If you ask someone from the Southwest they will say it is junk and it needs to be lit on fire. If you ask someone from the midwest or northeast they will say meh.

The rust will be an issue when it comes time to change out parts. I wouldn't consider it a restoration project but I'd drive the s*** out of it for the next ten years and enjoy it.

I figured it would. With any Land Cruiser, especially 40 and 60 Series, they aren't for sale for long. Have to be ready to pull the trigger when you see one. Good luck!

Thx!! I'm learning that!
Hey..I'm the guy that they are holding it for. Originally we are in need of an automatic, we already have a troopy 4 speed, wife wants to be able to drive it. Get a hold if me if interested, I will pass on some details to you. We are headed to the dealership now to pass on it.

I just passed on this...ugh...pretty sweet. 8500 will buy this from the dealership. ...some cruiser fan buy this and take care of it...

Ok, trying to figure out the messenger part of this forum, I have no idea where to find it...sorry mate..do you know where I can find it?

I actually passed but just bought a totally redone one! Call Gene at the dealership! He is awesome! His direct line is +1 (319) 321-3897.

Well mine fell through! Ugh what was a clean title became a rebuilt title that became I can't find the title to a - how about s bonded title. Told the seller..done! Back to the to looking . Oh well I guess this is part of the fj60 world?

It's not just the 60 world. It's the used car world.
