Taking Offers - Real offers please. The frame has finally gotten to the place it will not be safe in a couple years. I did put money into have a frame guy cut up the frame when I first got the truck, but the other parts are going soft. This is currently a daily driver and has been nothing but a dream to drive. If you already have a great body and frame but need a strong engine or drive train, this might be a good truck to consider. This is far from being a show car, it is a drive train donor truck. All the glass is good. The body and frame are very rusty. If you are good with frame work and can repair the bad pieces, this would be a great off road vehicle that you could take out and not hate yourself after dings and scratches. It really can go anywhere.

I purchased it with a fully rebuilt drive train at 225,000 miles. Best FJ60 I have ever driven and still drive. Odometer it currently at 290,000.

Do you have a price in mind?
Also, how is the interior?
Pictures?

Also, did the rebuild include the bottom end, i.e. pistons, rod/crank bearings?

Thanks!

Sorry guys.. this is not an interior donor...just drive train. I will post more pics. Looking through the parts receipts I have from the guy I bought it from in 2012ish in Cincinnati. Pistons and rod bearings parts were orders. When I bought it, he said the top and bottom were done..He did everything in his garage, so no receipt of rebuild. He did say he had the head shaved to run high octane gas. When I bought it, he had it set up to run propane. It was dual fuel. I was never interested in having a propane bottle kn my cab, so I pulled the propane carb out. I still have all the parts in a box. It's been a daily driver for the last 8 years and still is with no problems other than a rotting frame. I did just have a mechanic replace a lot of seals and gaskets, adjust valves, and put a new clutch in. I'm sure this is not a perfect drivetrain, but may be what someone is looking for. I am entertaining offers at the moment. I do not have a price in mind. I paid $6k for it and put about $4 into over the last 8 years. I know I want get my money out of it...If someone is really interested and can benefit from taking ownership, I am happy to pass it on. DM me an offer and we can go from there. If your close, I would suggest meeting up to drive it. It accelerates up hills and purrs at idle. Really strong engine with perfect oil pressure...always at the top line, drops a little during idle. I am not a mechanic, only a lover of FJ's. Sorry I can't be more specific on the rebuild.

I am going to post a video of the engine starting and running soon... this is seriously the sweetest drivetrain I have driven on an FJ60, rebuilt as a hobby from a jet engine engineer in his garage for close to 5 years. He did 15k worth of miles on the rebuild before selling it to me. I have almost 75k on the rebuild. If no one is interested in putting in real numbers, I an going to find a welder to get my frame patched up and I will be hitting some hard trails to enjoy this monster drivetrain...real offers will be considered. All others will not. I don't need the your money, I would just prefer this to go to someone that can use and enjoy it.

You stated that "i know i want to get my money out of it" and then said you had 10K in it. NOBODY is going to pay 10K for this truck. An 8 year old 75K rebuild aint worth that much more than any other 2F. i suspect the offers you are getting are real and are low but that is all this rig is worth. Post a realistic price as per the forum rules, or start trying to find a welder as this aint selling.

You obviously don't read everything before you put your foot in your mouth. That's what is wrong with forums...people like you. I know what this is and I know what the drivetrain is worth. If your rig needs a drivetrain donor...come drive this. I will post a video of a cold start and driving. I am trying to help someone out and not let this thing go to waste on trail riding...but I am certainly happy to. I don't need the money. Cheers
