It's time to sell my 1987 fj60, need to buy the wife a new car. I've had her since 2005 and I've probably poured over 10k into her. I have a rebuilt motor about 10k miles ago; carb rebuilt by Jim Dicky LC in Gardena; every vacuum switch; vacuum hose (silicone); modulator; egr; blah blah blah has been replaced and is in working condition (went through the ENTIRE system for Ca. smog); Intake manifold had the crack under the carb welded up; SOR diverter plate installed; every gasket on the manifold is new; intake, carb and exhaust horns; took the ABV apart and removed all the smog pump exploded parts out and is working perfectly; smog pump with lower miles than my original; new coil; plugs; plug wires; cap; rotor, etc; alternator about a year old; A/C system cleaned/flushed and is working super cold; new radiator was installed at engine rebuild; new clutch was installed at engine rebuild; Dicky did full tune up and valve adjustment when he rebuilt carb; I did the full KNUCKLE rebuild about one year ago; new OEM exhaust (1yr. old). I service her myself regularly; engine, diff, tranny, transfer oil changes. Runs beautifully. It took me years to get this all done and loads of money. Just something to remember if buying a 60 series. The only thing I don't like is the OME suspension with the shackle reversal I have; I think the OME springs are too short. Oh, and I had the front drive shaft lengthened for the lift. Some minor dings and scratches from 4x4ing, but nothing big. I hate to let her go.
I just put on brand new BFG A/T's on black steel 16" wheels (not shown in these pics.)
Has a crack on the windshield up around the RR view mirror and the rear carpet could be better. Passed smog with flying colors in January and I will smog again for the buyer.
I have more pics if needed.
