it is the seam near the back of the door on the rocker, this area is prone to rusting due to the over lap of sheet metal.
usually, right at the bottom of the seam area, you get a tiny bubble under the paint. if it is there, best to drill a tiny drain hole to let the moisture out and use penetrating wax spray to prevent any further issues.

"Rocker" was the word I was looking for however it is still early in the morning and my caffine has not kicked in yet.:)

Crushers, I guess you didn't read all my ramblings about the truck. I did say that it needed a windshield frame replacement from rust and also the side windows in the FRP top. I will try to put some pics of the engine bay and others that I personally took. I agree about it being best to inspect in person if you are looking to buy, but this free review is only what I noted.

yes, i missed that part, sorry.
sadly, for the money being asked, it is those items that would turn me off from purchasing...

if those pieces are the only parts that are a concern, if i was the seller, i would replace them with new factory.
then a premium price can be charged and end up with a happy customer.

Crushers, I agree. That was my intention, to buy and replace those parts and resale. I have a BJ41, a BJ44 and possibly a BJ70 or BJ73 coming soon, so I passed on this one. Yes, with those replaced, it would bring premium. A more thorough search inside the trim panels would be a good idea. OH> the factory tool kit is in the rear side pocket. I didn't open it, but it's there.

BJ73 in Japan

Yes, that's the same cruiser as the one for sale on here. The owner is still in Japan and must be marketing it wherever he can, but the cruiser is in Richardson, Texas. The photos that are in that ad are photos of the cruiser in the driveway where I viewed it. The guy in Richardson is a friend of the owner. I think they went to college together in Arlington and the owner went back to Japan. I think the guy in WI, that has it listed on MUD, is a broker that is trying to help get it sold.

easy, just posted a link, not making any accusations of any sort.
the japan ad says right on it that the truck is in Texas...

Yes I own it.

Truck now lives on Cape Cod in Bourne. I replaced the windshield frame, gaskets, FRP top window frames, gaskets and gave the truck a once over.purchased a turbo kit that I will install this winter.
