I love this forum.

My rear washer pump is not getting power.

When I press the rear wiper switch to activate the washer pump it does not run.

I tested the pump on the battery and it whirs to life.

I disassembled the wiper switch and cleaned the contacts. I have continuity in the switch per the FSM testing procedure.

My rear wiper works when the switch is depressed.

I have cleaned the female wire pigtail connections for the wiper circuit at the dash where the switch connects and at the rear where it connects to the washer pump.

Is there another connection for this circuit in the harness somewhere?

I do not have meter wires long enough to test continuity from the switch point of connection and the pump point of connection.

I am seeking guidance on this issue.
Thanks in advance.

I recently had the same drama, firstly I would get access to your switch and check its working with a retest light, check continuity from switch output to pump connector, check any earth inside rear guard area and verify its actually earthing ! Have fun

"rear guard area" where you referencing?

The water pump must have an earth - check the pump earth to
body - which, in my cruiser is in the left hand rear guard /body, below the glass

The wiper motor now does not work, but if I ground the hatch to the frame it will. The washer pump fired up one time, while I did not have my jumper test wire connected from the hatch to the body, until I stowed the pump and bag onto the mounting hooks. I believe the ground wire is my issue, however I am having a hard time locating this ground for the upper hatch.
