If the fan doesn't come on, it's probably the resister coils. Look up on the firewall right behind the blower motor on the pass side. There is a 4 wire connector going into a plastic connector held to the firewall by one screw. Pull the screw out and gently pull the resistor coils through the hole and take a look at them. It should be obvious if they are bad.

If the fan works, but there is no hot air, check to make sure the heater valve is opening. if it is, then your heater core is probably plugged... Changing the heater core is a pain......

Before you condemn the heater core, although it could very well be plugged up, you could try burping the system. There could be an air pocket in there. Might save you the headache of pulling the heater core.

When you dig into it, it's really easy to check to see if your heater core is plugged. Leave the heater hoses connected at the firewall. Disco the other end of both of them, making sure that heater valve is not in the loop. If it is, make sure it's open fully or heat control at max setting. You can easily jury-rig your garden hose with a nozzle to run water in one of the firewall heater hoses and see if you get a good flow out the other hose. You don't want to start at max water pressure in case its plugged. Don't force it or you may rupture the system in the cab and then there'll be quite a mess to clean/dry up. Good idea to to this on a regular basis anyway, to be sure it's not closing up on you. Good luck and post your results.
