Here are a few more pics on where I am at the moment. The rear brakes have new wheel cylinders, springs and shoe linings. The front RHS knuckle has been completely rebuilt with new seals, bearings. The front discs, wheel bolts and bearings are brand new. I reconditioned the calipers. From the photos you can see that the pistons were very badly corroded and one of the pistons is actually steel round bar that had been machined to the required size and installed. So they got new pistons and seals and new pads.

The free wheel hubs were stripped cleaned and painted.

Ok, so it's been a while since my last post. Been busy with the painting. The colour I chose was the Toyota Heath Grey, but the panel beater I used couldn't mix

the exact colour and I settled for what I thought was the closest sample, and then upon spraying the vehicle it came out a bit lighter than I would have liked. Anyway, It is not too bad and I am getting used to it.

I fitted the engine and gearbox this weekend, so now busy with connecting everything up and fitting all the bits and pieces in the cab.

Good job, quiet an improvement from when you 1st brought it home. How much longer before you can get it back on the road?

Good to see your progress.

I guess about 2 months before I fire her up. But I am sure there are a few surprises waiting for me.

2 months turned into like 6 months. She is finally licenced, legal and on the road. What an awesome vehicle. Rough ride, noisy and smoky but an absolute beaut. Some detailed pics to follow shortly.
Good stuff mate, keen for some pics👍🍻
