1984 FJ40 LX for sale.
Vin number is FJ40-364253. FJ40LV-KC. Color code 202 ( Black ). Trim code FA31 ( Dark red wine color )
All original car. Straight 6 2F engine, 4 speed Transmission plus the reverse.
It has Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Heater.
The drivetrain is in great condition. The engine runs very strong, the transmission shifts very smooth and no issues with the clutch.. I will post a 19 minute video of the drive uphill towards Mount Wilson. I will also post a video of it driving on the freeway.. The engine does not overheat, the temperature gauge barely moves up. In the video I do also show the temperature gauge after I stop for a break.. The drivetrain does not have any leaks of oil or fluids. See pictures
The air conditioning and the heater are in working condition, switches work and they blow air. I really have not used either one since the weather has been great in California during daytime.
All the lights on the 40 work. Headlight, tail lights, signal lights, speedometer, Hazard and the interior driver side door lamp.
The rear seats face forward. The seats covers are in great condition. They have been reupholstered by previous owner. It is not the original fabric.
The body floors of the 40 is solid and has very minimum rust. Please see pictures..
There is a small weld on the front crossmember right behind the center arm steering bracket. It does not affect the ride. It can barely be noticed, also replaceable
if you choose so.
It has BFG 31 inch tires. I do have the same 5th white wheel for the spare but the tire is in bad shape..
It does not have front disk brakes. The drum brakes have been replaced and they work great. It does a great job stopping the vehicle. I never speed with this 40. Not meant for it..
The drive on the freeway is strong. It drives with ease at 120 KM per hour. The max speed I drive is 110KM
I drive the LX 3 to 4 times weekly. Parts that I replaced, OEM speedometer cable, OEM Hand brake cable, Brakes, OEM visors (still bubble wrapped) and did tuneup.
